About the project

Who wants to be a mathematician? is a collaborative education project developed in 2019, in support for the event promoted by teacher John Edison Díaz Ramos and Jorge Eliécer Gaitán School in Villavicencio (Meta) city.

It consists of an annual event in which more than 100 students from 18 educational institutions register to play Who wants to be a mathematician?. With a system of eliminations and with fun and clever questions, the game tests and rewards the mathematical knowledge of the participants.

Who wants to be a mathematician? started as a university collaborative project with an application developed in Java SE. It's currently being developed in its web version, which will allow the online registration of schools and students, the publication of scores of qualifying series, the distinguished students and much more.
